I am trying to a script that reads from key board and use the entered value in the next step.

Example: enter folder name

read $folder (i will give work)

cd...

I got the rename command worked. But when i try to parameterize its not working
put ${FTP_FROM_FILENAME} ${FTP_TO_FILENAME}
rename /in/wcsFeed/tmpdrop${FTP_TO_FILENAME}...

Guys,
I have question regarding moving files from one folder to another on ftp server. It got nothing to do with the files or folders on my server
