I thought the Blade 1000/2000's were End Of Lifed? We have both were I work at and we upgraded our workstations from 2000 to 2500. I think the 2500 are better myself.

Starting with Solaris 9 they "revamped" their Disksuite package, I think it is maintained under the SMC now. I still use the older Disksuite because I hate SMC...it sucks.
You might want to check into the version of NFS that the Linux server is using. I think Linux uses NFSv3 if I am not mistaken, I think Solaris 7 & 8; use only version 2. I am not positive though....
Your using Solaris 8, I do not think Yahoo offers a version for Solaris I know it use to but it sucked. I would look into downloading something else check out www.sourceforge.net.
