I have written the below code to know the current curser position. The problem with this code is - it gives me window size properly but whn it comes to current curser position then it...

yaaa I m using select call b4 doing read on socket .
so the code is somewhat like this

//thread 1

==========================================
int retval = select(.....)//Now the thread is...

I am not able to receive the message on socket in the current process when its waiting for its child to exit.

code looks something like below
//in one thread of the current process
//thread 1
...

Is there any way to redirect the command o/p directaly to a memory location instead of redirecting it to the file??
