if i am opening a file in one process how can i cause that other process can't open thae same file???

i got a strange result when i write the function
open("new",O_RDWR | O_CREATE ,0744)
it create a file with the name new but in the authorization of the file it return

i think that the word "gcc" compile only c file while your main.cpp file is a c++ file

do any one knows where i can find an implementation in c for the sort function
