Is there a way to disable a certain local user from remote login, and only allow su to that user. :confused:

i know i can stop remote login for root user, i need it for other users.

that might be true if you think of centralizing different OS features into one !!
other would be having a separate LDAP for Solaris , which requires more effort in terms of support and maintenance....

sorry for not replying earlier, i was busy trying to fix it and i managed to use rbac roles and profiles defined locally to be used by LDAP MS AD users.

if your windows server works as a DNS as well as DHCP, then add resolv.conf file with your DNS's ip's and edit nsswitch.conf file to resolv from DNS

if your are using a statis IP add a manual...

the fastest way to do it is to change the defaukt home directory .. im not sure if thats applicable in your enviroment

pinging the hotmails IP is not useful , i added our ISP's IP in the resolv.conf , but the nsswitch.conf .. what to do with it ?

i can ping the default router and i can ping the hotmails IP for an example ..
