How to activate/use networkcards SCO Open Server

Hi,

in our business we have a formerly (few years ago) installed computer with an openserver SCO 5.05
there are 3 network cards in it. one on board and two 3Com-cards
Looking with ifconfig (or scoadmin) they seemed to be installed correctly.
IP-Adress, netmask broadcas looks OK.
But no ping in our network, or on the ip itself works. We have tried to give the cards (one after the other) an own ip in our net, but with no effect.

btw: when booting the computer with a linux live-cd all works properly, it get an ip (by dhcp) and it works.

Where can i look for other settings?

You need to look at your documentation on what network cards the SCO kernel supports.

Can you compile a new kernel?

I am not sure; in our business, there is not so much sco knowhow.
We only do relinking the kernel after changing ip addresses with netconfig. And it works (1-3 years ago)

first check bus & vector by look on
Code:
$hwconfig

used that information to setting your network cards under scoadmin>network
