boot diskette no.2 error

please execuse my english ... i'm from czech republic ...

I have a copy of UnixWare 7.0.1. There is images of boot diskettes on the CD. I used rawrite to create bootdiskettes 1 and 2.

When I boot from disk1, installator will prompt me for language, I choose english, then it wants to insert disk2. When I insert disk2 and press enter, an error occurs: Something like : the instalator doesn't recognize the diskette.

Bad image? Please help. If it's an error of image, can you send me correct bootdisk images? My mail is: removed - breaks the rules

thx a lot for help.

See aplawrence.com's list of ftp boot images

And please read the rules of this site - no email addresses in postings (yours was removed).

Sorry ...
That's strange, I downloaded boot images from your website, and there is the same error! I'm using rawrite2 for dos running Windows XP SP2 and diskwriter for windows. Maybe bad programs?

pls hlp thx ...

FYI - it isn't 'my' web site.

And to create the floppy - from aplawrence.com
Quote:
Install disks can be recreated on a Windows or other Unix machine from the install CDROM. You'll find floppy images under /images/boot on the CD and the html docs tell you how to create the disks from the images.

A "readme" file is also there that explains how to create the floppy.
Hopefully your CD has this info - I could not find more info on that site.

The problem can be the diskette.
Make a deep scandisk to the diskettes to see if they have bad sectors before making the images and use only diskettes that don't have errors or bad sectors.

Yes, it can be bad diskette only.
Nothing else is possible now, because i tried : format the diskette, create blank image and rawrite it to diskette, rawrite boot image to diskette by program called 'dd'.

I'm downloading DickPatch now to scan diskettes. If this won't help, i'll try to buy unforamted diskettes.

Thank you very much.
