Go to the SCO web site, and look at the supported hardware list.

If what you have is not in the list, you will have to contact the component manufacturer to see if they provide a device driver.
Also, just because an item is in the list, does not mean the the driver is on the original OS CD.

No, but the new system would boot immediately, and without the need for a target kernel, if you were to use an IDE drive as the boot drive, and then add SCSI (RAID ?) for the application and data.
I have not tested using a SATA drive in compatible mode with 5.0.6
