Synchronics on 5.0.5 "No License"

After a move, customer logs on as a user that takes him to the login for Synchronics. System response is "no license"

Does anyone happen to know where the license usage is stored. Customer is licensed for 10 users and this problem is popping up at second user,SFAIK, all I have now is a call for service.

This shouldn't be from abend. The system came down cleanly with no one but root logged and no adnormalities since it came back up.

Ed, is this at the console, or workstation? Is there a parallel port dongle that might have been misplaced?

This is either workstation or console, per the manager. There is no external license device, strictly on the machine buried in the program, suspecting in the config directory, but it will have to wait till I get there.
Used to be able to dial in, but management decided that since it hadn't been used in a couple of years they could drop the capability.

Nothing like being misled by a customer. Workstation only, W2K using TinyTerm, which was throwing a Century Software license error.

Grrr....

And in reality it was a license error because the internal clock had gone to default from a battery failure. Had the same error message on a personal machine the same day, not diagnosed, and the problem has not repeated.
Wierd.

I don't know if you solved the problem, but check you date. I've seen SCO systems seem like they don't have licenses if the date falls before the date the system was initially serialized on. What makes me believe this might be the case is that you stated that it was moved. If the CMOS battery is dead, you'll lose the date/time.
