smartd problem
Hi guys,
i am facing this problem, I had configured NIS server in my network and it was ruing good..
but once i changed my IP after this problem started...
please help me out..!!

NIS doesn't have anything to do with SMART. NIS is a centralized useradministration (instead of every server having its own useradministration in /etc/passwd). SMART is a monitoring tool for harddisk health.
SMART can monitor almost any IDE (PATA) disk, but not every SCSI-disk. You seem to have a SCSI-device or a S/ATA-device (/dev/sda). This device may not be SMART-compatible.

user login problem & Files listing problem.

1) when user login to the server the session got colosed. How will resolve? 2) While firing the command ls -l we are not able to see the any files in the director. but over all view the file system using the command df -g it is showing 91% used. what will be the problem?
