I am using sed on Arabic file (utf-8 encoding) like bellow:
sed 's/./& /g' file
and all I get is:
1 ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
I tried change the LANG variable to
LANG=en_US.UTF-8
