Linux Problem with ssh
Hi ,

I have done the following things, but still i am not able to connect remote system without enter password.
steps:
1) ssh-keygen -t rsa
2) transfered id_rsa.pub file into remote server.
3) I hve redirect id_rsa.pub content to authorized_keys file.

Note: I have done the same in another server, that is working fine.

Did you check the server is A is pinging to Server B ..what error you are getting ...

Are the owner and access mode on the remote system correct? On systems with SELinux, additional requirements have to be met.

I can able to ping A and B as well. This is a redhat-release ...

On the remote system both ~/.ssh and ~/.ssh/authorized_keys have to be owned by the user himself, mode 700 for the directory and 600 for the file and finally have selinux label ssh_home_t (if selinux is enforcing).

By the way , you need to run the ssh-keygen....command in the home direcotory of the user where you need the without password login. and also as hergp told pl check for permissions and importantly you are not pasting the error output of your try....

Not really, it makes no difference the pwd where the command is executed.

The private key is usually located under each user's .ssh directory, but it's not a must.
