disks perfomance issues

Hi, All

I'm trying to figure out why on very similar hosts with the same settings disks perfomance is different.
Linux 2.6.16.60-0.69.1-smp #1 SMP Fri Sep 17 17:07:54 UTC 2010 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

disks are in similar array, everything looks good from the system site, but perfomance is different:

1 diffrence is on the host with good perfomance dmesg |grep cciss returns nothing, on the other
JBD: barrier-based sync failed on cciss/c0d0p1 - disabling barriers
JBD: barrier-based sync failed on cciss/c0d0p6 - disabling barriers
JBD: barrier-based sync failed on cciss/c0d0p5 - disabling barriers
JBD: barrier-based sync failed on cciss/c0d0p7 - disabling barriers
sgl06a-5903 sys/vm#

try to google don't see anything specific

Any ideas really appreciated

Thank you

I would like to know if I can move the disks from a V240 chassis into a V440 chassis to use the increased resources (CPU & Memory) to boost performance.
