DNS issue in Redhat 9

Hi all

m newbie in linux and trying to setup my internal DNS server for local network. After messing with DNS for hours i am posting this.

i have configured /etc/resolve.conf, hostname with domain name in /etc/sysconfig/network file,/etc/hosts file with local host entry and zone file configuration.when i type
"dig any syscare.internal(my local domain)" command it doesn't show the answer section and authoritative section also showing some other server name instead of my local server.

one more thing i want to add when i type dnsdomainname command it shows unknown host even i added in my network file.

if anyone wants my config files pls let me know and help me out from this prob

Thank You

Have you configured /etc/named.conf properly? Are you getting results for nslookup queries? Yes, configuration files of the server will definitely help.

Please post the output of:
Code:
grep -vE "^[ \t]*#|\/\/|\/\*" /etc/named.conf
