Hi guys,
i have a prblm in unix scripting can anyone of you figure it out for me??


The question is i need to store the parent processid and processid in a file and using shell scripting, if i enter the parent processid it should display the processid.

one more question is, i need to sort all files in my directory according to their size in a file.



Please someone vhelp me out...

Use ls -s or -S:

will the pgrep command work as a switch case??

i stored the pid and ppid in a new file using head,tail,cut...etc.,
i need to access that new file in another file and when pid is given by user ppid should be displayed......

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean.
Could you give an example? Sample code?
