Fedora 16 (i686) DVD boot issue in x86 (32bit)

Hi, I'm using fedora for 5 years. recently i decided to install new version (16). after i reboot the computer and want to boot from dvd nothing happen's and system boot's from hard disk (i have setup the bios to directly boot from dvd-rom and my dvd-rom is ok). i have downloaded (again) fc16 dvd iso image from fedora project but fc16 dvd won't boot. any body can help me? is this problem relate to 32bit system and BIOS???

What hardware are you on? Does your hardware support (U)EFI? Which particular image did you download?

Intel i386 pc, i think it does not support (U)EFI. it is 8 years old! file that i have downloaded is Fedora-16-i386-DVD.iso from fedoraproject.org

Can you let us know what error message you are getting? Does it show grub menu at all? If not, what exactly does it show? Also, did you check if the DVD is booting fine on any newer machine?

When trying to install pam-1.1.1-10.el6.i686 package using yum, we are getting the following error message.
