chmod 500 .ssh

On the server side, That should do the job. For the above error.

The bit you've highlighted isn't a problem, you've got an rsa key pair you don't need a dsa pair.

Ok, issue has been resolved. I deleted the user and recreated it on the Solaris server. The reason I didn't delete it on that server is because other processes were dependent on it.
A most sincere thanks to all who pitched in with help; I appreciate it.
