ILO3 Virtual Media

Hi,

I have recently purchased a new BL460c G7 server and have slotted it into my existing C7000 rack enclosure.

My problem is that I am unable to install the OS via the virtual media due to the following info error:

Code:
Note: Logged-in user does not have Scripted Virtual Media license. Refer to Licensing page for more information.

I can see from viewing the licencing page the following license is already installed?

Code:
ILO 3 Standard Blade Edition license is installed.

Does anybody know how I can resolve this issue?

R,
D.

Can't say for sure, but I do know that iLO 3 is VERY different and that you had better make sure that all of your firmwares are up to date. c7000 blades can be either iLO2 or iLO3 depending on blade. Personally, I tend to loathe the iLO3 blades....

One might even think you would call HP about this rather than post the question here.

HP also has some pretty good forums for this kind of stuff.

It is different indeed. I actually was able to launch the virtual media via the remote console within ILO3. The virtual media screen does not actually launch the virtual media, maybe you need an advanced license for this.
