Active directory authentication in Linux client?

Hi All,

I am a newb in this forums. I am a Linux admin and I hope I will get the solution here.

In my company I have setup AD and I can authenticate the windows machines using this AD, also able to apply policy.

Now I have installed some Linux machines but I can't able to authenticate via AD, I have added MAC address in AD still also not able to connect.

Any idea to resolve this issue?

You may want to look at Samba and winbindd for this.

On the Windows TechNet site there are several guides to get UNIX/Linux servers to authenticate from AD or have a LDAP server on the Linux server replicate data to AD.

Centrify will help with the AD/Linux authentication. Also they have a free version you can use.
