Bug RHEL Certification Question
Hi RedHat Enterprise users. Does anyone know if the new RHCSA and also the RHCE exams can be taken via independent, self-study?
By this I mean not attending an offical RedHat certification course and arranging the exams myself.

Yes, it's not mandatory to take any RH courses. You can take the exams with the certified partner of your choice even if you don't know a single bit of Linux (though that wouldn't make much sense).

For RHCSS, RHCDS and higher ranks, you must pass RHCE certification first.

Yes. I took the RHCSA and am working on RHCE now using the books only. Of course, if your employer will pay for the training then why not..

I recommend that you get the M.Jang RHCE book and possibly the "Hands-On Guide to Red Hat Exams" too if you want more practice.
