Create driver update disc for redhat

Hi,

I am trying to install redhat into one of my machine, but during boot up from Redhat Dvd, it mention not able to detect my HDD and it need another driver to install into it.

Because the machine only have one driver update disc source which is my CD/DVD rom, so i would like to know anyone have any experience to create a driver update disc (i only have the .dd file) in windows environment and which software can i use to create it?

Thanks and regards,

is this RHEL or the older "Red Hat Linux?"

What type of hard drive is it and how is it connected? What is your system type and model number if any? Also is this 32bit or 64bit?

Is RHEL.

It is a SAS HDD and i'm trying to install it into a blade server, so i have to install one driver to detect the HDD ( driver: Driver Diskette for HP ProLiant Smart Array Controller (x86/AMD32) for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 (x86) )

I trying to create a driver update disc in USB but failed, because the redhat prompt me to use only CD/DVD rom for driver disc source. So i would like to know how to create the driver update disc in window environment. Thanks

You didn't answer my questions completely. What architecture are you running?

First of all, if this is a blade server, and running RHEL 4.8, why in god's name are you trying to install a RHEL 5 driver? If you are already trying to install a non ABI compliant driver from RHEL 5 onto RHEL 4, are you also using the wrong architecture to do it?

Is RHEL 4.8 certified to work on that HP blade? The issue is not the drive, but rather the Proliant smart array controller driver.

Is RHEL already installed on this blade or is this a new drive you are adding and it is not being detected?

Sorry, typo error. It should be RHEL 4 32bit.

This is a new drive i adding and just started to install RHEL, but the message already come out say can't detect the hard drive.
So now I just want to find out how to create the driver update disc in window environment and then install it.
