Downloading RHEL ISO's!
Hi friends,
I am a novice Linux user, and I want to take the RHCE test in future. As I have been told that the RHCE test is all about Redhat Enterprise Linux. I approached redhat.com to download RHEL 6.1, but they don't offer that to people who have email id's at gmail, yahoo etc. Where then I can download RHEL, I don't want support etc from Redhat I just want to learn RHEL.

Why don't you try Fedora or CentOS? There are from RedHat.

Fedora is the project that feeds into Red Hat. CentOS is NOT from Red hat. They take the red hat source code and create a new distribution that is binary compatible with Red hat and nearly identical, but it is not FROM them nor is it perfectly identical.


However, they are close enough for the test.

Also, I have not heard of Red Hat not accepting gmail/yahoo email addresses, but Red Hat is not FREE. CentOS or Scientific Linux would be a workable alternative for you, though. Fedora would not.
