Thanks Franklin and I actually just added more sort parameters to get convert all upper case urls to lower case and then remove the duplicates thereafter using following -

PHP Code:
ls -1 | tr '[A-Z]' '[a-z]' | sort | uniq -c | grep -v " 1 " 
I think we can also use
PHP Code:
ls | sort -f | uniq -i -d 
Tho I am not quiet sure on that.

Hi Franklin,

Just updating on your help for the script the other day..

Amazing job once again and it has helped me a LOT!!Smilie

ls abc-accent*.log |
while read file
do
  sed -n 's!.*service=\(http://[^/]*/[^/]*/\).*!\1!p' "$file" > URL_file
done

Hopefully I won't bug everyone so often now.Smilie

I have logs files which are generated each day depending on how many processes are running. Some days it could spin up 30 processes. Other days it could spin up 50.
