Yeah ofcourse, :-(
i shoulndt have installed that realtek and all...
before that my speakers were working fine...
i just did it to experiment with my system.... :-(
but now i'm regretting for it...
actually my problem is,
the software is installed just fine,
but by default all the audio channels will be in mute state after installation(as given in the installation notes),
so i need to know how to unmute all the audio channels ???!!!

no, it's not. alsaunmute can't find your card. ergo, the driver's not working. Either you need to prod the new driver into working somehow(maybe you need to modprobe it's kernel module?), or you need to uninstall the driver and use your original one.

I think the problem here is that the original poster doesn't understand the role of the card in this. His speakers are more than likely working fine. His audio card is the part that is not working.
