lilo.conf for lvm

Does anyone know how to write a lilo.conf for lvm configurations.

I have the devices addressed as:
/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 / (root)
/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol01 (swap)

When running lilo,
Error states:
can't put the boot sector on logical partition 0xFD02

Would appreciate any help here

I don't know exactly what you are trying to do but definitely you can't use a LVM as a /boot partition.

According to RHEL 5 official docs:

Quote:

"[...] The /boot/ partition cannot be on a logical volume group because the boot loader cannot read it. If the root (/) partition is on a logical volume, create a separate /boot/ partition which is not a part of a volume group."

Thank you Verdepollo. It is still a raging battle between man and boot loader. I am trying to use GRUB instead.
