NIS disabling the MAP for a local user

Hello everybody, we have a NIS User lsfadmin which gets his environment variables from the autmount /home/lsfadmin.

A newer version of the application needs a different environment to launch the application.

I can't change the environment of the NIS User because we use NIS company wide for this application. So the old application would not work anymore.

So the other team decided to insert a local lsfadmin User with the correct environement. But for other automounts which are needed for the application to work later the system must be bound to the NIS domain.
So the local environment get overwritten from the NIS user.

My question here is:
Is it possible for one specific local user to disable the NIS mapping for this local account?

regards
sdohn
