Redhat update

Hi Friends,

I am very new to the redhat subscription.
So that i am having lot of doubts. Please help me.

1. As per my understandings we need to register and pay for each rhel server to get update and support from redhat. Can we have a local yum repository where we can download the updates, so that we can reduce the number of the registered servers, also we can update those from the local repository?

Regards,
Aravind

Yes you can this but you have to manuel download always new updates to local yum server..if your server is registered process is automate.

You mean to say?? If i am having one registered server, then i can download the updates to that server and create a seperate local yum repository using these updates and can update the other servers also with out any subscription issues. Right?

I suppose this can be probably..But you can updates save to local. For this you can configure `keepcache` enabled.
But I dont know is legal or illegal I have suspicions about it.
