Thank you Neo. I did not that we can press h while running top command... It really helps.. Again thanks to every one to input on this thread. I highly appreciate everyones time here.

I have SunOS and here is the version details

SunOS chfdalsun003 5.10 Generic_138888-03 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V890

I clicked h while running top command and it has different help menu compared to linux.. But i do not see any key stroke to list number of CPU's. But in linux, i could list the CPU's in the top output.. But what i am interested here is, to see number of CPU.

Linux and Solaris operate differently. They are different operating systems.
