Recover RAID data

Hello,

Given a scenario, I have 2 HDD which were used on the server with software RAID. Now, the original server crashed and I have attached these 2 HDD to the new server.

Any possible chances to recover the data from any of this HDD ? I want to mount /dev/sdb3 on some folder..

Output of one of the HDD is as below

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sdb1 * 1 25 200781 fd Linux raid autodetect
/dev/sdb2 26 269 1959930 82 Linux swap / Solaris
/dev/sdb3 270 19457 154127610 fd Linux raid autodetect

Chinmay.

What kind of RAID was on the disks? Did the original server crash because of the disks? Do you know the version of the md-tools, or at least the original kernel used?

Thanks for the reply.. Further investigating, I have found that the HDD's were faulty.

Was the RAID set redundant and were the parity drives destroyed? If it's just a single disk and the parity data remains available, hot swap it and you're good. Depending on the raid array set, there are several things you can do to attempt to restore the data.
