I am new to sloaris and just instlled the solaris 11.2, i know little more about linux, i open the /boot/grub/grub.cfg in solaris and there is many other entries forl solaris 11.2 one of them is for 'Oracle Solaris 11.2 text console' but at boot grub2 only show the first default entry that... Hi,
I try to read a multiline text from a console and write it to a file using a bash script. I want to end reading from a console if a user types the key twice. I tried this loop:
while read LINE; do
if 2>/dev/null; then
break
fi
echo -e ${LINE} >> $file
done

This was installed on the Linux box a few weeks back by a guy that no longer works for us. All worked fine until last week. Now when we connect its just a blank screen with no icons.
I get a whole bunch of errors when starting the service too:
