what does "int (&) [42]" mean?
Can you explain the paradigm "int(&)[42]" clearly in C plus plus?Smilie

That's a variable declaration without a variable name; normally (only?) used in function signatures where you have to accept that type of argument, but don't actually want to use the variable. With the variable name, it would look like:

int (&name)[42];

This declares the variable 'name' to be a reference to an array of 42 ints.
