Hi.

I have a C program that is using the **environ pointer and I am trying to set up aliases for a system("/bin/ksh") call. This works for other environment variables but not for the aliases. Does anyone know if this can be done? Thanks ahead of time.

You really should use putenv() if you are modifying the environment. aliases are not an environment variable. However ksh uses an environment variable called ENV. You can set this to a filename. Then ksh will read it as it starts up. You can put alias definition in the file. See "man ksh" for details.
