Could anyone help me?

Hi, I'm a new member here. Can anyone tell me what DDF(Data Definition File) is? Could you give me a brief example of DDF file? and how is it implemented in C?
Any suggestion wil be appreciated. Thank's Smilie

DDF is metadata - tells you about the order and size of datatypes in a record.
What are you working on or with?

I am currently working on C and few days ago I read a short article about the definition. However, I do not know how it looks like. Could you give me a brief example of DDF Jim?
Thank's a lot for the information.

Are you talking about (Windows) Diamond Directive Files - they are just text

or the metadata and data files for Btrieve and some other apps? In that case you need a ddf editor to read the file http://www.classicsoftware.com makes one.

Otherwise see: www.pervasive.com - there was some technical information there.

On second thought, if this isn't homework, why not just tell us what you want to do?
Like:I want to import Btrieve files into Oracle -- or something.
