Programming

i may be asking way too much here but i am not a programmer and not sure where to to turn. i have a program that i am trying to "make". but the compiler i am supposed to use gets nowhere. there are a bunch of .f90 files that are being processed as follows but it doesn't get past the first one:

if i use another compiler just to see what happens it goes thru all the files but there are no .o files at the end and the make executable fails with a bunch of "gfortran: filename.o: No such file or directory"

The make is not able to find the files; please post the Makefile itself here in the forum along with the environment variable $PATH and at the locations to the file like 'byterecl'.

Another tip for you: If the system current date is set lesser than the creation/modification date of the files (which happens sometimes due to various reasons) then your make would fail. If this is the case the you need to touch all the files iteratively to make its date at par with your system and then try to re-build the same.
