Basic introduction to SQL, PL/SQL/ and Pro*C

A better, Pro*C introduction with programming examples can be found here

Richard Stevens UNIX series appears to be the best books money can buy on they topic of UNIX Network Programming. Buy The Book Note that this series requires a healthy knowledge of C/C++, Network fundamentals and are probably not for the beginner.
