The approach which I have tried in Windows that works is by opening the device directly as a file (using the PhysicalDrive# handle) and start issuing read / write commands, which returns failure for bad sector write calls.

Another approach which I have seen but not really tried is to call DeviceIOControl with IOCTL_ATA* commands.

High Runqueue (R) LOW CPU LOW I/O Low Network Low memory usage

Hello All I have a system running AIX 61 shared uncapped partition (with 11 physical processors, 24 Virtual 72GB of Memory) .
