Hi,
I earlier determined I cannot use FTP to execute remote commands on a server.
My problem, I need to use a second server to get/put files via ftp onto my primary server and various tertiary servers.
my server(A) ---> server (B) ----> server blah(c), server balh(C)

Hi gurus I need to execute awk command on remote machine and write output to stdout.
So far Ive tried:
ssh server "ifconfig | grep -A 1 "^eth" | awk '{if ($1~/^eth/) {temp=$1} else {print temp $0}}'"
ssh server "exec " < file_containing_above_command
But neither works

How can I execute a script on a unix server via ftp from a Windows machine?? Can't use cron/at to schedule the execution and don't want to open up a telnet session just to do it.
