dladm show-link will give the output of network card interfaces. Then assign a ip-address by using the following command
#ifconfig eri0 192.168.0.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 up
#svcadm refresh...
vxassist -g solaris make vol00 100m - this will create a volume with 100mb size (subdisks and plexes will be created automatically)
vxresize -g solaris vol00 200m will successfully extend the volume...
lufen is right....devfsadm -Cv will builds the new devices and remove the dangling links. After that, the assigned hard disk will be seen from format command.
