This seems to be working OK for me. I changed script as follows, so I could test in on local files:

I agree, it's probably a power supply issue. It's possible that you've got a flaky motherboard but power still sounds more likely.

Probably a PSU issue, sounds like the sort of problem you get when electrolytic capacitors start leaking. It would be worth checking that you haven't got a problem with your wall socket or your mains...
