Firefox 3.03 posting a newthread.php error

I ran some updates on my ubuntu hardy distro and after the running the updates I noticed that any website that is using PHP I cannot submit any thread. It gives a message saying,"opening newthread.php" and asks me where I want to save the php page. I know this is a bug and have read many items on the internet in regards to this but I yet to fix the issue. Can someone guide me in the right direction?

I have been running FF 3.0.3 since it was first released and I have zero problems with PHP and posting new threads.

This same is true for many other users of this site. FF 3.0.3 is one of the top browsers that access this site, BTW.

I'm running on OpenSuSE 11.0, KDE 3.5.9 as workstation with FF 3.0.3, but I have no issues posting new threads. I found some similar issues on the net, however with no definitive resolution suggested. In fact, I think that's the first report of such issue here.

We have many FF3 users, as well as the entire global vBulletin community, and there are no other cases as you report. (Posted here or elsewhere).

If you think you have FF3 issues with vB, please report to vBulletin - Instant Community

Thanks.

It appears definitely to be an issue that only you are having. I have both Hardy and Intrepid (in both 32 and 64 bit versions) on machines here and have no problem with Firefox 3 on any of these versions of Ubuntu.

What plugins do you have on Firefox? You could try disabling them and see if the prooblem persists.
