I was thinking of coding projects in the numerous scripting
languages that are represented here. Targeting the type of
users and their issues this site was designed to address.

For example, I've been working on a bash library with another
well respected user from this forum that I'd like to publish
but find the other project sites (i.e. sourceforge) a bit too much
and not particularly relevant to the command line level that this
site seems to address quite successfully.

Other projects I'm developing are specifically design for system
administrators on OSX using LaunchDaemons and bash.

Does the forum/thread/post with attachments work for your idea?

Yeah... it is the usual thing to do but it all seems to be small problems that are solve that relate to bigger issues. It's almost like the wheel is being re-invented when you should be picking all ready solved solutions off the shelf with a proven track record.

Surely choosing all ready solved solutions should be the first choice an admin should make and then think about coding custom solutions.

I'm sure the audience this site attracts have the same problems all over the world but they seem to be building admin projects from scratch to what are common problems.

In my opinion the addition of a projects section would benefit all users and position this site in a premium position as the number one goto place for solutions to admin related issues.

Good point.... but I'm not following you completely. If you are talking system administration, then the approach seems to be "tools of the trade" versus "project" related; since admins have various "tasks" do to that require "tools" versus "projects" which sound like building an "application".

Most system admins don't build complete applications; the seem together applications along with various tools to administer and monitor the systems in their domain.
