10 posts?

Well, only recently discovered what the bits above mean, and as they have no value, not going to be concerned about only having 11600 bits after several replies to others.

Need to go back to the bits page where it says what you get for certain activities, but someones recent quote that 10 posts is enough to start savings does not seem right as I have just above 11000 with over 50 posts - and the page says 10000 is minimum deposit to savings.

Further, I would only make a deposit if I was not interested in doing anything with them because it is only after 5 months that I would see any accrued interest (at 0.4% transfer cost, and 0.1% payout).

I might be misreading something, but then taking out of savings would be another 0.4% making it 9 months to remain with any profit. (If it is only withdrawals that get charged, better, but still need atleast 4 months in account to break-even).

Lastly, what I see as missing is any credits for Thanks given and/or received.

They have no monetary value, but have some use around the forum; you can create threads in the emergency forum, or buy a custom user title with them.

I''ll only say WOW. you have more posts than I have bits. Smilie
mainly what I wanted to say above is that getting bits for giving or receiving thanks might be an appropriate addition.

Just to bring to the notice of all that for some weird reasons my all bits were gone all of a sudden, while I was away from the forum.

My vanished bits included those which I had deposited in the forum bank deposit too :-) to earn additional interest :-(

Hope the admin would do the needful to bring them back to me. :-)

Everyone who does not post in the forums will lose their Bits if they are away for 6 months. This is a long standing forum policy, as activity Bits are for active members; not members who leave the forums for over 6 months.

In other words, you are responsible for maintaining your Bits balance. When you leave the forums for over six months, your balance will automatically go to zero - this is long standing forum policy and if you were active, you would be aware of the policy, since all we do it open and posted in the forums for all to see.

Okey thats fine!!!
However, it should not apply to bank deposits, to be fair, because the deposit and the withdrawal process itself takes 8 months together to keep one’s bit wealth intact.
In essence, the penalty one pays out to deposit bits into the bank account should guarantee for the security for the period it has charged the depositor. What do you say?

It applies to all Bits because that is our policy.

If you want to keep your activity Bits, you must be active. That is our policy; and not posting for six months is generous, we think.

However, in the future, we may change to even a short time period, and reserve the right to do so.

So, if you value your forum activity Bits, stay active. If you don't value them, then don't worry about it.
