Mac App Store: Sign in sheet does not appear, or does not accept typed text

When you attempt to sign in to the Mac App Store, the "Sign in to download from the App Store" sheet may not appear Even if the sign in sheet is visible, text you type may not appear in the Apple ID or password fields

How to store a number along with the sign

If I use the below cut -c37-48, the minus sign does not get appended to the number, as the sign is in the 36th Position. But, If I use cut -c36-48, the minus sign appears infront of the number, but for positive numbers, it throws an error. How can this be resolved.. (7 Replies)
