iTunes 10.1 for Windows: iTunes may stop working and need to quit while importing or syncing audio

When you import audio from a CD into iTunes, import unprotected WMA files into iTunes, or sync with an iPod, iPhone, or iPad with the option to "Convert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps AAC" enabled, you may get an alert in Windows indicating that iTunes has stopped responding and needs to be closed.
