Keyboard shortcuts for Shut down, restart, and sleep

You can use the keyboard shortcuts outlined in this article to shut down or restart Macs that have a keyboard with an Eject key.Note: Key names are separated by a hyphen (-), such as "Control-Eject". You do not type the hyphen as part of the key combination.

The Keyboard Shortcuts preference tool allows you to display the default keyboard shortcuts and to customize them to your requirements. You can also create hot keys. Hot keys are keyboard shortcuts that start applications. OPTIONS
