Hi,
I am beginner to Unix.
My requirement is to validate the encoding used in the incoming file(csv, txt). If it is encoded with UTF-8 format, then the file should remain as such otherwise i need to chnage the encoding to UTF-8.
Please advice me how to proceed on this. (7 Replies)
I'm finding myself changing sound preferences (specifically, output) frequently, and I'd like to write a shell script to do this for me. Does anyone know what command(s) to use? (5 Replies)
I have just tried out Bluefish as an alternative to my regular text editor. If I save the modified preferences and reboot, the preferences have to be reentered again. Does anyone know which file the preferences are saved in?
The command
find / -mmin -5 | grep bluefish
yields zero hits.
Thanks... (2 Replies)
