In the MobileMe pane of System Preferences (for Mac OS Xv 10.5.8 and Mac OS X v10.6; .Mac pane for Mac OS X v10.4.11), or the MobileMe Control Panel (Microsoft Windows), you can choose how often your computer syncs your Contacts, Calendars, and other data with MobileMe. Note: MobileMe members should use the latest available version of Mac OS X. Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger users should update to Mac OS X v10.4.11. Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard users should update to Mac OS X v10.5.8. To find software updates, see this article. Changes are synced with MobileMe at certain intervals as explained below. The interval period resets once the current sync finishes. Automatic syncing With "Automatically" selected in the MobileMe/.Mac pane (Mac) or Control Panel (Windows), whenever a change is made to a data type a sync will begin as follows: Mac OS X v10.5.8 and Mac OS X v10.6 Data type Up to MobileMe Down from MobileMe Contacts, Calendars, Bookmarks Within a minute Within a minute Other data types Every hour Within a minute Mac OS X v10.4.11 Data type Up to MobileMe Down from MobileMe All sync data Every hour Within a minute of changes being made MobileMe Control Panel 1.3 for Windows, or later Data type Up to MobileMe Down from MobileMe Calendars and Contacts syncing with Microsoft Outlook Within a minute Within a minute Contacts syncing with Windows Address Book (XP), Windows Contacts (Vista), Google Contacts, or Yahoo! Contacts; Bookmarks Every 15 minutes Within a minute Hourly/Daily/Weekly syncing When you select Hourly, Daily, or Weekly in the MobileMe preference pane (for Mac OS X v10.5.8 and Mac OS X v10.6; .Mac pane for Mac OS X v10.4.11) or Control Panel (Windows), changes sync once an hour, day, or week, depending on your selection. Manual syncing When you select "Manual" in the MobileMe preference pane (for Mac OS X v10.5.8 and Mac OS X v10.6; .Mac pane for Mac OS X v10.4.11) or Control Panel (Windows), changes sync between your computer and MobileMe only when a sync is manually performed by clicking Sync Now in the preference pane or Sync menu icon (Mac), the MobileMe Control Panel or the MobileMe taskbar icon (Windows). If syncing is not occurring at the interval you have selected as outlined above, follow the troubleshooting steps below.
