Maximum execution of script

Hi All,

I have a requirement where I need to restrict maximum execution time of a script.

e.g I have script filewatcher.sh This will look for a file abc.txt. If the file does not arrive in 10 hours, the script should exit with message " file did not arrived in given time".

How can we achieve this?
