no "/etc/rc.d/init.d"

no "/etc/rc.d/init.d"
Dear all,

I'm trying to install mysql cluster on two ubuntu-nodes using this article.
There's a line called:
cp support-files/mysql.server /etc/rc.d/init.d/

But I then realized that my nodes don't have the "/etc/rc.d"
I only have /etc/rcN.d ; N is from 0-6
how can i solve the problem?

I think you can use /etc/init.d instead of /etc/rc.d/init.d . If chkconfig is missing in your Ubuntu version there should be a chkconfig package you can install.

ln -s /etc/init.d /etc/rc.d/init.d

like what we did for installing oracle on debian or ubuntu
