Mount CIFS on AIX

Hello AIX gurus,

I am trying to mount a CIFS share on AIX and I could use some help. Here are the environment details:

AIX - 6100-05-01-1016
Domain Controller - WIN2K8R2 (authentication takes place here)
CIFS share is stored on a NetApp storage array that is joined to the domain

I have tried these commands with various syntax:

Code:
mkcifsmnt -f /cifs -d /share1 -h 1.1.1.1 -c administrator -p password -m CIFS -a -t rw -x 755 -w domain_name

mount -v cifs -n 1.1.1.1/administrator/password -o wrkgrp=domain_name,fmode=755 /share1 /cifs

The error that I keep getting is:
Code:
There was an error connecting the share or the server.
Make sure the lsdev command shows that device nsmb0 is in
the Available state. Also make sure that the share name,
user name and password are accurate.

I also installed samba.base and associated filesets from the expansion pack. I was then able to successfully connect to the CIFS share with this command:
Code:
smbclient //1.1.1.1/share1 -U administrator%password -W domain

But I still cannot mount the share using mkcifsmnt or the mount command.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
